Capstones
Every graduate student completes a capstone for their program. Most programs include a thesis/dissertation or alternate plan paper (APP) option, but many programs provide other capstone opportunities.
Alternate Plan Paper (APP) & Other Capstones
In programs where such an option is available, students may choose to follow an alternate plan for their capstone project. Students should check with their respective departments to see which capstone options are available.
Format and Style Guidelines
Regardless of whether the thesis or dissertation is submitted electronically or in print, it must adhere to the formatting and style guidelines outlined on this page. For information on submitting your paper or for information on receiving your final bound copy please visit this page.
Comprehensive Examinations
Some graduate programs require students to pass a comprehensive examination. Comprehensive exams are designed to examine a student’s broad understanding of their field of study, area(s) of interest, and/or the nature and design of their capstone project.
