The purpose of Summer Research Dissemination Grants (SRDG) at Minnesota State Mankato is to support the dissemination of faculty research, scholarship, and creative accomplishments by providing funding for faculty whose completed research studies or projects demonstrate a high probability of publication, exhibition, or performance. Summer Research Dissemination Grants are awarded on a University–wide, competitive basis. Each grant will be awarded to a single recipient, who will be paid a taxable stipend of $5,000 in bi–weekly installments corresponding to the summer pay schedule during the period of the project. The deadline for summer 2008 applications is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2008. Eligibility requirements and proposal guidelines are available at http://grad.mnsu.edu/research/frg/docs/summergrants.pdf.
Electronic Submission of Grant Proposals Part I: Grants.gov and NSF FastLane
This introductory session offers hands–on experience with preparing proposals on Grants.gov and NSF FastLane. Grants.gov has been designated by the Office of Management and Budget as the single access point for all grant programs offered by 26 Federal grant–making agencies. It provides a single interface for agencies to announce their grant opportunities and for all grant applicants to find and apply for those opportunities. FastLane is the National Science Foundation’s electronic proposal submission system.
Electronic Submission of Grant Proposals Part II: NIH Proposals
This workshop will focus on the uploading and submission process for National Institutes of Health Proposals. Participants will learn how to utilize Grants.gov and the ERA Commons in the NIH proposal submission process. The workshop will prepare participants to successfully complete the steps in the application and submission processes: preparing to apply, finding opportunities and downloading the application package, preparing the application, submitting the application to Grants.gov, checking submission status in ERA Commons, and checking the assembled application.
