As the first officially admitted doctoral student in the history of Minnesota State Mankato, Leah Shanks ushered in a new era for graduate education at the University.
Graduate student Joshua Jans' research on weather–related disasters led to national recognition for the training curriculum he developed—and a national award for his conference presentation.
Ken Pengelly's dedication and service to Minnesota State Mankato didn't end with his retirement. As an emeritus faculty member, he dedicates a portion of his financial resources to the College of Graduate Studies and Research.
