IRB Meeting Dates

IMPORTANT DATES FOR FALL 2009

• Proposals will not be processed between November 16 and 23, 2009
• Proposals received after December 7 will not be processed until the beginning of Spring semester 2010

The submission rate for IRB proposals periodically increases to a level that results in increased processing time. We recommend that you allow turnaround times of at least 5 to 7 working days for Level I submissions or resubmissions. For Level II proposals, investigators should expect up to 3 weeks for turnaround time. Level III proposals will continue to be reviewed at the monthly IRB meeting on the first Friday of the month. Level III proposals should be submitted 10 working days prior to the IRB meeting.

*Meeting dates are subject to cancellation if no full review proposals have been submitted by the appropriate deadline or if the submitted proposals are incomplete.

Protocols received in the College of Graduate Studies and Research Office after the deadline date will be scheduled for the following meeting. Only protocols that are complete will be scheduled for review. Incomplete protocols will be returned to the principal investigator. The full IRB does not typically meet during the summer months.
