Online Proposal Submission

In order to submit your IRB proposal on line, you will need to be signed on to MSU’s secure server. If you are on campus and signed on to your PC using your MSU username and password, you will be able to access the online submission application by clicking the link below (Mac users may need to enter their username and password after clicking on the link below).

NOTE: If you are off campus, you will need to enter your username and password after clicking on the link below. Off-campus Internet Explorer users will need to enter “campus\” before their username, as in the example below:

Once you enter the online IRB application, choose “Submit Proposal” to begin the submission process. You can save your draft proposals and return to them later. Once you have submitted a draft or a completed proposal, it will appear in your proposal list when you log in to the system.

You will receive an email from the IRB Coordinator once your completed proposal has been reviewed. You can track the status of your proposal by viewing your proposal list.

Although students cannot serve as Primary Investigators, students may submit proposals for review by their faculty advisor or mentor. Once a student proposal is submitted, it will appear in both the student’s proposal list and the faculty member’s proposal list. After reviewing and approving the proposal, the faculty member will make the final submission.
