Undergraduate Research, Scholarship and Creative Works
The Center for Undergraduate Research, Scholarship and Creative Works is dedicated to improving the presence and quality of undergraduate-faculty collaborations across campus. The goal of the center is to help the university achieve its mission of promoting learning by effectively integrating undergraduate teaching, scholarship and research.
*UPCOMING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES*
(1) SUMMER FUNDING FOR FACULTY AND UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS AVAILABLE. Due to generous support from the Minnesota State Mankato Foundation as well as external funding, the Undergraduate Research Conference Steering Committee and the Center for Undergraduate Research, Scholarship and Creative Works are pleased to offer funding for both faculty mentors and students to support undergraduate research during summer 2010. (2) Dr. Robert Smart, Director of the Center for Scholarly and Creative Excellence, Grand Valley State University, Allendale, MI, will be presenting:
Establishing a culture of undergraduate research and creative practice: A challenge requiring specific intent.

(3) We will be offering a campus-wide faculty workshop to highlight the benefits of engaging undergraduates in scholarly activities, research, and other creative works. Faculty participants will receive a $200 honorarium. The workshop will be held on Saturday, March 20 from 8:30 am - 4 pm. See the link (left) for more information.
