Writing Courses
There are three new 500–level courses for graduate students that focus specifically on writing. The first of these courses will be offered in Spring 2010.
In this course students will discuss, explore and apply persuasive writing techniques by analyzing both historical and contemporary moments of persuasion and pursuing a rhetorical analysis thereof.
This topics course is focused on a broad range of variable topics including Ancient Rhetoric, Rhetorical Theory, Cultural Studies and Composition, Feminism and Composition, The Rhetoric of the Civil Rights Movement, and The Rhetoric of American Feminism, to name a few.
In this workshop, students will spend a semester discussing and developing their individual advanced writing projects by studying the complex and diverse nature of social and academic writing in the disciplines.
